Destined For Nothing...

Tell my why so many have to die.
Tell me why they all have to lie.
What ever happened to those days,
That we all just ran in the suns rays.
Happy and free.
All was good from what we could see.
There were no wars, no discrimination.
The world was our salvation.
But as we grew old things were not the same.
For many it was about fame.
Wars became reality.
They broke out with no formality.
This world is not what it was.
All this because,
Of those little things.
Wedding rings.
Racial strings.
Belief brings.
Hate and war.
Why can't things be like they were before.
Back when colour ment nothing.
When apologizing,
Wasn't so bad,
We weren't all so sad.
This world's gone mad.
Look at that young lad.
Barely an adult.
Its almost an insult.
These poor people sent away.
Mothers pray.
Fathers fight by their side.
We all have too much pride.
These wars, this suffering.
These actions that are life altering.
So many die.
So many cry.
We're all filled with lies.
Its time for us to rise.
Free out family from the never ending pain.
Pray for all those who have been slain.
End these wars with peace.
Make all the fighting cease!

It lacked...a lot. There was nothing special to that poem. It didn't have any personality. Plus, it seemed like the rhyming was forced.

This was a very cliche subject matter. Perhaps it could have been approched from a different angle. She should have been writing a rant in a blog, instead.

This poem did not exhibit any literary divices. Perhaps next time she should use some to capture our attention. More sensory stimuli in this poem would have also greatly inhanced it.

The art of poems is describing something in the least amount of words in the most effective way; it is not rhyming.

But, keep expressing yourself, and keep getting better.

Tell blondie that. Those words exactly. Right now. go. :)

...Considering I've been away from civilisation for 5 days straight...I think I have the right to say this.

WHAT THE FUCK?!

First off, Thomas...Piss off.

Second off...Joanna, who are you and how did you find my Blog? Off of my Nex or something? Also, why are you attacking someone you don't even know. We appreciate your criticism...but what the hell?

Also, who are you "Anonymous"? Miss McGinty, perhaps?

You know, the comment box is really no place to rude on somebody's creative expression. I'm very dissapointed in joanna anonymous' comments. It's so much stronger to say YES to what you love, Joanna, than it is to say NO to what you don't. Please.

The Daily Beard is commenting on my Blog? Wow...Where did all this publicity come from? Please, I love comments and feedback on my Blog, but please leave me a message saying who you are, how you heard of this Blog, and what you think of it. At this point, I'm lost...which isn't necessarily a good thing considering I'm the "Web-Master" of this little production.
